The evening meeting began with the singing of O Canada by Sarah McLachlan
 
Liz Ellis delivered the invocation in which she reminded  the group of the cornerstone of Rotary, the Four Way Test. We conduct our personal and professional lives through truth , fairness, goodwill and benefit for all

Thank you from Barb at Jaaja orphanage for the TV monitors the we provided to them. Because of this support the break-ins have stopped and activities can take place safely.
 
Story Walk Update       Past President Laureen
The walk is up and running and the boards have been recently refreshed. This new story has been installed thanks to the work of Adam, Alex and Graeme

Benno Bucher $10 for returning from his cabin and happy to be breathing some clean air again
 
Joan Hansen another $5 for her trade with fellow member Tom: her old freezer for part of his fish haul
 
Gail McEwan $10 for not having to go fishing but also participating in Tom's catch

INTERNATIONAL GIVING
Chennai and Tekera
 
Chennai: Our Sister Club
We were pleased to have President Sumir Saproo of our sister club of Chennai India join us for the meeting. He was presented with our club's support of of $1200 for the pandemic support. This was augmented by an additional $1000 from the individual member donations. President  Sumir who was joining our breakfast meeting in the middle of the nightexpressed how lucky he felt to be in contact with a club such as ours. the past four weeks have been extremely difficult but thanks to the help and words of others. The financial support has gone to the needy who are most thankful for our generosity.
 
Tekera:
Liz Ellis our club's international chairperson introduced Daniel, the operations manager and Moreen, the field director who presented a video that demonstrated the self-sufficient status of the Tekera Resource Centre.

To David Anderson for not tuning in to start the invocation on time and providing us with an insight into his domestic life .
 
Benno ended the meeting with a limerick:
 
"Tom's grandkids gave us a smile
David's invocation began after a while
Greg gave us a quick SWOT analysis
Hope it doesn't cause speech paralysis
But the plan will take us over the next mile"
