Linda Ding began the meeting by playing O Canada that was sung with Quebec's Perce Rock in the background
 
Wayne Connorton delivered the invocation by calling upon us to be both leaders and servants in the cause of helping others while sharing our bounty

Backyard Wheelers has gotten off to a great start with venues at the Y. Anderson and the G.Shearer compounds.

Liz Ellis $10 for spending 10 days poking around the little villages and towns on Vancouver Island
 
Rick Lewall $10 for planning a day with out-of-town visitors exploring the the attractions on the North Shore
 
Cindy Phillip $5 unhappy that her planned trip to the Okanagan had to be postponed thanks to the fires in the area
 
Roger Pryke $50 for celebrating his 49th anniversary and the other dollar for travelling to Edmonton to meet with his son and grandson for the first time in a year
 
Yvonne Anderson $5 for three days of hiking on Vancouver Island during near-perfect weather
 
Graham Mallett $5 for finally able to spend time with his granddaughter
 
Joan Hansen $5 for noting that July has an unusual number of birthdays and sending wishes to all who are celebrating them
 
Gail McEwan $5 for finally getting her gourmet club together after a too-long interruption

INTERNATIONAL GIVING
Chennai and Tekera
 
Chennai: Our Sister Club
We were pleased to have President Sumir Saproo of our sister club of Chennai India join us for the meeting. He was presented with our club's support of of $1200 for the pandemic support. This was augmented by an additional $1000 from the individual member donations. President  Sumir who was joining our breakfast meeting in the middle of the nightexpressed how lucky he felt to be in contact with a club such as ours. the past four weeks have been extremely difficult but thanks to the help and words of others. The financial support has gone to the needy who are most thankful for our generosity.
 
Tekera:
Liz Ellis our club's international chairperson introduced Daniel, the operations manager and Moreen, the field director who presented a video that demonstrated the self-sufficient status of the Tekera Resource Centre.

Sergeant Benno managed but one fine :
To David Anderson for not tuning in to start the invocation on time and providing us with an insight into his domestic life .
 
Benno ended the meeting with a limerick:
 
"Tom's grandkids gave us a smile
David's invocation began after a while
Greg gave us a quick SWOT analysis
Hope it doesn't cause speech paralysis
But the plan will take us over the next mile"
