We tried returning to Beach Grove but found that it did not meet our needs. So we are back to looking for another venue where we can meet and enjoy breakfast. After the decision is made the information as to the location and format of next week's meeting will be forwarded to members by email Youth News Director Ed Lee We are presently interviewing applicants for the upcoming Youth Exchange programme. Thank you to members of the interviewing team who are being challenged by having to select from some outstanding young people. Books and Reports Judy McLeod Book club met at Laura Dixon's home. Directors are recommended to have their reports in to Judy ASAP Jabbin' and Jivin' Tom Smith Thanks to the thirty volunteers who joined Ed Lee and his team in helping deliver the 300 flu shots to members of the community. An efficient operation, it opened at 9:00 AM and by 12:30 PM all of the allotted vaccine was used up. Donations yielded $8000 to Polio Plus Strolling to the Pole to visit Santa Gail McEwan The stroll has begun slowly with 359 kms covered to date. We need to do better: Santa is 6500 kms away! The plan is to meet up virtually with Rotarians along the way. All you have to do is total your steps walking or running and report them to Brian Coe on Sunday evenings.
