Rotary Club of Tsawwassen Scholarships

The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen is proud to support local students through annual scholarships that recognize leadership, community involvement, and commitment to post-secondary education.

Grade 12 Scholarships

William Kushnir Scholarship

Named in honour of William Kushnir, a former Rotarian, dedicated educator and school Principal. This scholarship recognizes a Tsawwassen student who has demonstrated outstanding community service, leadership, and involvement in sports or extracurricular activities, and who plans to pursue post-secondary education.

Eligibility
Applicants must:

  • be a Grade 12 student residing in Tsawwassen
  • plan to attend a post-secondary institution in the upcoming academic year
  • demonstrate involvement in community service, leadership, and/or sports

Award Amount
$2,000

Additional Requirement
The successful recipient must provide proof of registration for the fall semester following Grade 12 graduation.

Rotary Club of Tsawwassen Scholarship – South Delta Secondary School

This annual scholarship is awarded to a well-rounded graduating student from South Delta Secondary School who has demonstrated meaningful involvement in both school and community and is planning to pursue post-secondary education.

Eligibility
Applicants must:

  • be a Grade 12 student attending South Delta Secondary School
  • plan to attend a post-secondary institution in the upcoming academic year
  • demonstrate involvement in school and community activities

Award Amount
$2,000

Additional Requirement
The successful recipient must provide proof of registration for the fall semester following Grade 12 graduation.

How to Apply
Students are selected through the SDSS scholarship process. Interested students should contact the SDSS counsellor or Career Centre for application details and deadlines.


Post-Secondary Scholarship

Rotary Club of Tsawwassen Scholarship – Kwantlen Polytechnic University

The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen established an endowment at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 1999 to provide an annual award to a full-time student (minimum nine credits). The scholarship is typically awarded to a student who demonstrates strong community or KPU involvement, volunteerism, leadership, and good academic standing. Preference is given to residents of Tsawwassen.

Award Amount
Approximately $800 annually

How to Apply
This scholarship is administered directly through Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
Eligible students should apply through the university’s online awards portal by logging into their myKPU account and navigating to Student Awards & Financial Aid.
