This event is not new to the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen and we have had lots of fun in the past with this social event. So, WHAT IS IT?? Glad you asked.
The event takes place on a Sunday afternoon, April 22, and consists of 2 parts.
PART 1 is a car rally / treasure hunt / scavenge hunt. Every team must have at least a driver and navigator but more are welcome in each vehicle. The more people in the vehicle, the more fun you will have. The team will be given specific instructions to follow a designated route, search for certain items, test their power of observations, and stay on course. It is NOT a race but a test of your skills. It is a mileage accuracy event and you will be judged on your accuracy and ability to follow directions and stay on course..
Timing of this Part is roughly from 2.5 – 3 hours.
PART 2 is the social gathering that takes place after the event. It allows teams and groups to meet, exchange stories, compare answers and hear the “real” answers to the trick questions. Some Fun prizes will also be awarded. Nothing like a bit of friendly competition to have some fun. This section includes Dinner.
The timing for this part is about 5:30 – 8:00pm.
There will be $35. per person. Kids are welcome and their dinner charge is $15.00 for
5-12 year olds. Yes this can be a family event.
So, it is time to step out of your comfort zone, have an adventure and a lot of fun. Your biggest decision is which, car, truck, limo, or RV to use in the rally. We hope to see you there on Sunday, April 22. The event will start and end at Beach Grove Golf Course and start time is about 1:45. Make the date, talk to your spouse or fellow Rotarians and plan to attend. Buy your tickets as the next meeting.
